Tips & Tricks:

*Some teachers build interest and anticipation by putting a picture of the Mountain up on the wall in advance of receiving the Mountain. They allow children to speculate about what it is and how it will be used.

* When you first receive the Mountains in younger grades, allow children plenty of time to play with it (without the tokens) before you use it in lessons.

*Make small items (counters, blocks, beads, buttons, etc) available for small children to use with the Mountains.
